Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia telah mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Dengan jumlah perguruan tinggi yang mencapai 4.259 unit, termasuk universitas, politeknik, sekolah tinggi, dan institusi, Indonesia telah menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang pesat. Terdapa tantangan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) dalam mencapai pengakuan internasional dan daya saing dalam era tranformasi pendidikan 4.0. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh akreditasi perguruan tinggi terhadap kinerja perguruan tinggi, secara langsung dan tidak langsung, melalui budaya mutu pendidikan tinggi sebagai mediator dalam konteks PTKI. Studi ini memilih pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling untuk mengumpulkan data melalui survei pada 200 responden pada 10 PTKI terbanyak di Indonesia. Data dianalisis dengan Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Hasil analisis menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan akreditasi terhadap budaya mutu dan kinerja pendidikan tinggi, pengaruh signifikan budaya mutu terhadap kinerja pendidikan tinggi, dan peran mediasi budaya mutu dalam kaitannya dengan akreditasi dan kinerja pendidikan tinggi. Studi ini merekomendasikan pentingnya Langkah kefokusan standar akreditasi tinggi menuju internasionalisasi dan budaya mutu yang terintegrasi dengan nilai keagamaan Islam. Kerjasama lintas lembaga dalam dan luar negeri diperlukan dalam peningkatan kualitas pengajaran, dukungan pemerintah, dan perancangan kurikulum untuk era industri 4.0.
